There are 20 different Oreos in the cookie aisle. We've got two bros and one ho. We will take down the giant wall of Oreos and write about each and every one.

Triple-Double or Triple-Double-Trouble?

It's a monster.

The Big Mac of the cookie world.

Two double stuff Oreos stacked on top of one another, one with original creme, the other with chocolate.

The Oreo enthusiast's dream?

 Not exactly.

The idea of two double stuffs sitting on top of one another certainly makes me drool, and upon first bite, I certainly thought it tasted pretty good. There was only one problem. I didn't feel like I was getting that Oreo experience I usually enjoy. I like to go layer by layer, eating one cookie, then the creme, then the other cookie. But with this one, it was almost too laborious to go this route. Instead I resorted to eating it like a burger.

This changed everything.

Suddenly my mouth was filled with chocolaty, vanilla-y goodness.

The Triple Double didn't hit/crush shelves until August of this year and they hit it hard. At a whopping 100 calories (wow!) per cookie, this thing really is a giant.
"Holy crap!" Yep, this thing is real.

These are so big, one box of them only holds about 18 cookies. To give you an idea of how few that is, one box of regular Oreos holds about 45. When you first open the package, it looks like a ton of regular double stuff Oreos, some chocolate, some vanilla creme, it actually makes for a pretty neat pattern. Taking out the first cookie may be a little bit overwhelming. Rest assured, however, that soon you will be in cookie heaven, but not for long.

The problem with these guys is that they are so large, they are pretty darn filling. But for a quick (and large) bite, they are a pretty decent snack.

These "O's" certainly aren't for the average Oreo consumer, you've certainly got to be looking for something exotic and enormous in order to really enjoy these cookies for what they are. Perhaps you've even got to be a little crazy because eating a bunch of these isn't really an option for most people.

But, perhaps you aren't most people.

Pouring over the internet, trying to find out more about this cookie, I found some recipes that would make these Oreos really pop, or maybe kill you.

The website "Dude Foods," whose motto is, "Because shock food is the new indie rock" (I don't get it either), served up an idea that may have come from straight from the Iowa State Fair - chocolate covered deep fried Triple Double Oreos.

Because deep fried butter and beer isn't enough, these guys decided to take this massive cookie to a new calorie level. Perhaps the Big Mac should look out.

What looks innocent at first...

 Is really pretty deadly...
People really do this.
When it comes down to it, the two bros give the Triple Double a thumbs up, but the ho gives it a thumbs down. This one certainly isn't for everyone.

If you do decide to give this ginormous monstrosity a try, look out, if you don't eat it first, it may eat you!

The Challenge

Perusing the aisles of the supermarket is always fun. Who doesn't love checking out all the crazy snacks and thousands of different items lining the shelves? You can't tell me that you didn't beg your mom or dad to buy your favorite candy or a special ice cream when you were a kid, all the while hoping to be the one to push the cart, whipping it around the aisles like a race car.

Well, in one of those aisles are Oreo cookies. Everyone has had one. Chocolate cookies surrounding a vanilla icing center. Delicious.

One of those days in the supermarket, staring at the Oreos taking up a full five shelves, my roommate and I came up with the idea to try every single type of Oreo on the shelf before the end of our senior year of college. We counted 18, but on a second visit we found that we had missed two, there are actually 20.

While serious but not necessarily committed to the plan, I threw out the idea of creating a blog to chronicle our tasty tales. After talking about the idea with some friends, we added another to the team. This became the dynamic trio that is two bros and a ho. Suddenly, what was originally half joke, half scapegoat to eat cookies, became a serious endeavor.

We will dutifully record our experiences with each and every cookie, who knows, maybe something really interesting might happen. I hope so.

That is the challenge.
